Promises

Promises

I think perhaps we look with scrutiny (realized or not) at the promises God makes. We narrow our eyes and say, “do I believe that?”

Will Smith, Anna Delvey, and Advocates

Will Smith, Anna Delvey, and Advocates

It has been an interesting week. It’s easy to discuss the lives of those who live public controversy. But we’ve all played the role of defendant. We all need an advocate.

Helping Your Child be Successful

Helping Your Child be Successful

Today’s post is for all the parents out there who want to help their kids reach their full potential. Let’s consider what’s actually success.

The Veil

The Veil

We have a groom that has promised to remove a veil that lies over our hearts too. A veil that whether thick or thin falls between us and our rescuer, and the tricky thing is that often we can’t even see it. Lots of times, we don’t even realize it’s there. We just sort of wonder why Jesus is hard to understand, or why it’s so hard to pray. We fix our eyes on the stuff around us that makes sense, and stop wrestling with the difficult, because… why again?

Word Study… a Launch Into Indefinite Discovery

Word Study… a Launch Into Indefinite Discovery

My Thoughts On IF:Gathering 2022

My Thoughts On IF:Gathering 2022

I just got back from Dallas about a week ago. I had planned to attend the IF conference, and my 7 husband decided it was a perfect opportunity to escape the grind of our normal routines, and take winter break in the middle of nowhere — also known as Point, TX. It was gloriously still. Beautifully quiet. Except for the coyotes… they were loud. But the point is that going into this conference my heart was rested, stilled, and ready to listen.

Calling Out

Calling Out

We call out to one that we trust. We call out when something threatens our peace. What happens when we call out to God?

Transmission Troubles and Remembering

Transmission Troubles and Remembering

It’s Ash Wednesday, and there’s a whole lot of formal “remembering” happening right now. Takes me back to a moment last summer when God, in his good timing, prompted me to remember. We joke a lot about my husband’s “seven-ness” that seeps out of him on vacation. It...

In Celebration of Pi Day

In Celebration of Pi Day

Happy Pi Day! Not only do I LOVE math, but I believe there are some life lessons we can learn from the subject. Grab some pie and read on.
